Understand what you read, right beside the page.

Select a passage. Kavalu explains it in plain words and answers your follow-up questions.

Kavalu's side panel beside a web page about photosynthesis: the highlighted passage is explained in plain words, with buttons to save the answer as a card, listen to it, draw it as a diagram or be quizzed.

How it works

  1. Select a passage

Highlight a sentence or a paragraph on any page you are reading.

  2. Ask, or pick an action

Kavalu opens in Chrome’s side panel beside the page. Choose Explain, Summarize or Translate, or type your own question.

  3. Keep what you learned

Save an answer as a flashcard. Cards stay on your device, and you can review them in the panel or export them to Anki.

What it can do

It reads and answers in English, Kannada and Hindi. Every action is on the free plan, with daily limits.

Make a card
Drafts a flashcard you can edit, then schedules it for review so it sticks.
Deeper dive

Your reading stays yours

Kavalu reads a page only when you ask it to. Selected text and results are not stored; only the cards you save are.
